Why Are Affirmations So Important?

Affirmations, or speaking to yourself positively is so very  important because it has a very real and direct impact on your happiness. Your happiness impacts the opportunities you're able to spot- or not. 

"Do not speak bad of yourself, for the warrior within you hears those words and is lessened by them" - Old Samurai Proverb.

Neuroscientists have found that positive affirmations help rewire the brain for  resilience and significantly improved self-esteem- Amazing! .


The science behind it is that positive affirmations can help to activate the areas of the brain that are associated with reward and motivation. Simultaneously, it reduces activity in areas that fuel fear and stress. 'm sure we could all do with less of that in our lives! It's a definite block to manifestation. When I've been stressed in the past, it's been difficult to spot what is an actual threat to an imaginary, perceived one. 

Positive affirmations can help to strengthen positive neural pathways, making it easier to access positive thoughts in trying situations or moments. Focus on positive affirmations, and you can change your attitude towards life.
